Skipjack tuna
The species of tuna used in your product is Skipjack (Katsuwonus pelamis). It is one of the smallest species of the Tuna family and is distinguished by the horizontal lines along its body. It lives in the warm waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. The Skipjack tuna we stock reaches a length of up to 0.35 meters and a weight of 3 kilograms. Its population is considered sustainable and not threatened by global fishing, while its lifespan is around 3-5 years. It is characterized by the dark pink color of its flesh and its stronger taste.

Yellowfin tuna
The species of tuna used in your product is Yellowfin (Thunnus Albacares). Yellowfin tuna lives in warm waters of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans and is distinguished by the yellow/light brown stripes on its fins and is one of the largest species. The Yellowfin tuna we supply reaches a weight of up to 20 kg. It is characterized by the light pink color of its flesh and its lighter taste.

How we prepare tuna for you
Our tuna is caught according to the best fishing practices, immediately frozen at -18°C and transported to our state-of-the-art factories. There, we carefully clean its bones and skin, fillet it and steam it. Finally, we pack it with care so that it arrives safely on your plate.
